Norwich-Themed Vegan Goodie Giveaway!

It’s no secret that Anticarnist hails from Norwich in England. And it wouldn’t be an outrageous thing to say that over the past couple of years that the city has had a vegan overhaul of sorts. With Norwich Vegans evolving from a group that meets once a month to chat and share snacks to an organised bunch that attend regular outreach events in the city centre and all the various vegan businesses rapidly opening up, it’s definitely become the place for vegans to visit. Here are just a few of my favourite businesses you should know about:

Little Shop of Vegans

With a logo designed by Anticarnist, the first vegan shop in Norwich automatically gets top of the list and is currently the only retail shop you can buy Anticarnist apparel offline. Based in a pretty Grade II listed building on Magdalen Street, and just a 10 minute walk from Norwich city centre, it’s definitely worth a visit for countless chilled and frozen foods, vegan clothing, cosmetics and sweet treats. I try to pop in as often as I can for a ‘Scotch Eggless’ and some rare cheeses.

Tofurei

Tofurei has an amazing deli counter offering plant-based substitutes for fresh meat products, including soysages, burgers, loose tofu and a unique fresh tofu for use as a meat substitute in cooking – all produced on site along with their amazing cakes.

One Planet Pizza

With the aim of being Europe’s number one frozen vegan pizza, they’ve grown extremely quickly. Available from over 30 different stockists around the country, you can also buy a slice at vegan festivals. Recently voted ‘best vegan pizza’ in the Vegan Living Taste Test, I’d say they’re doing very well!

The Tipsy Vegan

Norwich’s first vegan restaurant and cocktail bar and definitely my favourite restaurant right now. In fact, I’m trying to hurry up writing this blog so I can go there for lunch! Amazing food consisting of sticky BBQ ‘ribs’ and cocktails created by the experts at Knowhere Special in London.

Deerly Beloved Bakery

Deerly Beloved Bakery have many stockists all over the city, but the best thing is that you can commission personal cakes for any occasion. To be in with a chance of winning a £5 voucher towards yours, enter the competition by following the instructions below!

Ancestors Coffee

Another brand new vegan business for 2017, this is a coffee shop unlike any I’ve ever seen before. Enter the giveaway to win a meal for 2 and a free 250g bag of their amazing house coffee to take home when you leave!

Booja Booja

Based in Norfolk, Booja Booja create melt-in-your-mouth vegan truffles and rich ice cream with simple, organic ingredients that are dairy, gluten and soya free. A box of these makes a very fancy gift, but you’d have to really like someone to just give these away!

Vegan Bunny

If you’ve ever missed Lion Bars as a vegan, you’re in luck! Vegan Bunny has you covered – If you win the giveaway at the end of this blog you can win four Panther Bars, which are the vegan equivalent (and better in my personal opinion)! Terms & conditions
1. How to Enter:
1.1. To join in the campaign entrants will need to ‘like’ the Anticarnist Facebook page and share the competition post on their Facebook timeline (it will be the top ‘pinned post’).
1.2. The winner will be selected randomly
2. When to Enter and Who can Enter:
2.1. The Competition opens on Wednesday 31st August 2017 and closes Thursday 7th September 2017
2.2. Entrants can enter at any point between these dates
2.3. Entrants can only enter the Competition once, but can share as many times as they like.
2.4. The Competition is only to those aged 18 or over, excluding anyone professionally connected with the administration of the Competition. Proof of age may be asked for.
3. Prizes:
3.1. The Prizes for winning the competition are all items included in the Vegan Easter Giveaway Bundle photo (chicken not included!).
3.2. The Prizes are as stated and they cannot be sold or exchanged for cash, goods or services.
